Central Veterinary Associates (CVA) is notifying all local pet owners of the recent voluntary recall from Wellness due to the discovery of small amounts of foreign material in the company’s canned cat foods. These foreign materials pose a potential choking hazard in pets.
The recalled products include 12.5-ounce cans of the following Wellness brand Cat food:
Chicken and Herring, Best By: August 4, 2019
Chicken, Best By: August 3, 2019 and August 4, 2019
Chicken and Lobster, Best By: August 4, 2019
Turkey and Salmon, Best By: August 5, 2019

“Though there have been no reported injuries from these products, pet owners should still take caution,” says Dr. John Charos, DVM, President/CEO, CVA. “We urge everyone who has purchased the aforementioned food products to immediately cease feeding it to their pets and to return it to the store from which it was purchased for a full refund.”
