Central Veterinary Associates Wins “Best of the Boro” Award
February 28, 2012 | Central Veterinary Associates has announced that it has won The Queens Courier’s 2011 “Best of the Boro” Health & Beauty Awards in the category for Best Veterinarian.
Central Veterinary Associates is a 24-hour, full-service hospital that provides optimal small animal medicine, including exotic medicine. Central Veterinary Associates has its state-of-the-art hospital in Valley Stream which is open around the clock and also has other convenient locations in Great Neck, Bayside, Forest Hills, Far Rockaway and Belle Harbor. The hospital features intensive care units and intravenous infusion pumps and offers state-of-the-art radiology, endoscopy, ultrasonography, otoscopy and dentistry services. Central Veterinary Associates has over 110 staff members, including 18 veterinarians, as well as a board-certified radiologist, surgeon and internist available for consultation.
Best of the Boro is organized by The Queens Courier, which is operated by Schneps Communications. The public decides which local businesses are worthy of competing by submitting their nomination online in each category. The voting period ran from November 26, 2011 to January 10, 2012. More than 101,500 votes were received overall. Central Veterinary Associates won among five other veterinary facilities vying for this award.
This is the fifth award Central Veterinary Associates has received in the past few months. The animal hospital also received Long Island Business News’ Health Care Heroes Award, Alley Pond Environmental Center’s Friend of the Environment Award, ImproMed Customer of the Year Award (Outstanding Veterinary Contributor) and a Certificate of Recognition from The Guide Dog Foundation For The Blind, Inc.
