VALLEY STREAM, NY — Central Veterinary Associates is sponsoring a low-cost microchip clinic during the Friends of Fort Totten Parks’ 9th annual “Family Fun Day” on June 15. It will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Crocheron Park, located at 33rd Ave and 215th Place, in Queens. The event is being presented by The Friends of Fort Totten Parks and the Northeast Queens Park Administrator.
For a donation of $25, veterinarians from Central Veterinary Associates will help protect your pet with a Home Again microchip. All of the proceeds will go to Friends of Fort Totten Parks and the New York City Veterinary Emergency Response Team (NYC VERT).
In addition to the clinic, there will be games and storytelling for kids, face painting, arts and crafts, police and fire education, pet adoption, educational groups and more.
“We at Central Veterinary Associates are proud to offer this low-cost microchip clinic at this fun family event,” said Dr. John Charos, President and Chief Operating Officer, Central Veterinary Associates. “We urge all pet owners to have their pets microchipped. There is nothing more heartbreaking than losing a pet when it runs away or is taken away by someone else. By having your pet microchipped, you are ensuring your pet’s safety and also helping a worthwhile cause.”
