Central Veterinary Associates offered a low-cost microchip clinic at the second annual Pet Adoption Fashion Show, which was held in front of Petco in Massapequa on July 19.
For a $25 donation, CVA’s veterinarians provided pets with a Home Again microchip to ensure the pet’s health and safety so that they can be found if they run away or if they are taken by a stranger. All donations went to benefit Kids Adopt a Shelter, a national not-for-profit organization that links children and their families to shelters to comfort and support animals waiting for homes and the New York City Veterinary Emergency Response Team, a 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides and oversees all veterinary care in times of crisis for New York City and its five boroughs.
In addition to the clinic, there was a Pet Adoption Fashion show, raffle prizes, vendors, face painting, a dunk tank, and more. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle and auction also went to benefit Kids Adopt a Shelter.
