Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of a bi-annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Emergency Care:  You can call any of our numbers at any time to have any questions about your pet answered, this includes during off hours.  When our clinics close, all of our calls are transferred to our Valley Stream 24/7 emergency service.  We are there when you need us at all times.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pet's complete health care needs.  
      
Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.
   
Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
    
Internal medicine consults: We offer Telemedicine referrals to an internal medicine specialist, Jonny Hoskins, DACVIM, who helps us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.

Surgical consults:  We offer surgical consults with our own skilled surgeon on all surgical cases.  For more complicated cases, we do offer a surgical specialist consult with Dr. Parks, DACVS.  Dr. Parks is able to consult on or perform surgery on the case as needed.

Pain Management:  We offer a large selection of pain medications that will help your pet feel comfortable when they have diseases or injuries that cause them unbearable pain.  For more serious injuries, we even are able to offer Morphine Constant Rate Infusions.  This service allows for your pet to have their pain controlled very specifically.  We take pain management very seriously as we treat our pets as we would want ourselves to be treated.
   
Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.  All of our radiographs are read by board certified radiologist, Victor Rendano, DACVR.  For certain cases, we also offer immediate telemedicine consults in order to get Dr. Rendano's review as soon as possible.

Ultrasonography:  We have a state of the art ultrasound machine and highly skilled ultrasonographer who is able to help determine diagnosis on your pet's illnesses.

Endoscopy:  Endoscopy is available for cases that require visual inspection and biopsy of the esophagus, stomach, nasal passages, trachea, colon, and other organs.

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
   
Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery.
   
Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, and urinalysis on an emergency basis. We also utilize ANTECH laboratories on a regular basis and for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
    
Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification at affordable prices from Home Again.
    
Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets from Purina. 
   
Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard, and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
    
Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff 24/7.  Pets must see one of our veterinarians prior to boarding to ensure they are healthy.  All pet's in our boarding facility must be current on their Rabies, 7-1, Bordatella vaccines as well as have a current Heartworm test and fecal. 

Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
