Dr. Jackman knew that she wanted to be a Veterinarian from a very young age. Her mother recalls in kindergarten for a “what I want to be when I grow up;” Dr. Jackman looking up how to spell the word Veterinarian and had never changed her mind.
Dr. Jackman enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine. Although, has a special interest in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Jackman received her DVM from St. George’s University. She spent her clinical year at the University of Edinburgh to fulfill her requirements with St. George’s University. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Veterinary Technology, with a concentration in Small Animal Medicine from Becker College in Leicester, MA. She also was a licensed Veterinary technician before being accepted to Vet school. Upon graduating in 2013 Dr. Jackman has worked in shelter, mobile, corporate and now private practice.
When Dr. Jackman isn’t treating her patients she can be found in her garden or spending time with her 3 mischievous cats. Simba 11 yro orange DSH rescued from the streets of Brooklyn. Lisp Gene Franknfutter a Scottish fold who’s tongue is too large for his mouth. Zazu a cross eyed Bengal. Both rescues.
Dr. Jackman has taught herself to crochet and enjoys making scarfs and blankets for her family as gifts.
