Dr. Brittany Perfetto knew that she wanted to be a Veterinarian since she was about 8 years of age. Her mother recalls that this desire never changed; it became stronger through the years. Her career choice became further solidified when she took a veterinary science course during her senior year of high school.
Dr. Perfetto completed her Fear Free certification in 2019. Her interests include emergency medicine, exotic animal medicine and general practice.
Dr. Perfetto is a native Long Islander and received her B.S. in Biology from Iona College in 2014. After graduation, she worked at North Shore Animal League America and a private practice in New York City for 2 years before being accepted to veterinary school. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University. She spent her clinical year at the University of Illinois and upon graduation in June 2020, she joined the Central Veterinary Associates team.
When Dr. Perfetto isn’t treating her patients, she can be found reading, at the gym, exploring the outdoors or relaxing at home with her aunt’s boxer, Zuko.
